Description
Set on a hillside in Cap-à-l'Aigle, facing the St. Lawrence River, Le Ruisseau is a contemporary villa completed in 2022. Its dark cladding and floor-to-ceiling windows dissolve the line between inside and landscape: from the entrance, the nineteen-foot mezzanine opens the house to the river and the light. The three bedrooms on the entry level each offer a king bed, a private bathroom and heated floors. On the garden level, life gathers around the open kitchen, the dining room and the living room with its wood-burning stove; an adjoining den with three bunk beds gives the children their own space. The 900 sq ft terrace, carried by the murmur of the nearby stream, becomes the centrepiece of fine days. A few steps away, the Hameau offers a heated shared outdoor pool, a tennis court and more than 5 km of trails. La Malbaie and its shops are five minutes away, Mont Grand-Fonds fifteen.

Architecture turned toward the river
Completed in 2022, Villa Le Ruisseau embraces a contemporary architecture in which every line frames the St. Lawrence River and the surrounding forest. Dark cladding answers the broad windows that draw in light from morning to evening. From the threshold, the nineteen-foot mezzanine unfolds a striking volume and ties the home's two levels together at a single glance.
Three suites and a retreat for the children
Le Ruisseau sleeps up to ten. On the entry level, three bedrooms open onto the river, each with heated floors and a private ceramic-shower bathroom: the master bedroom, facing Cap-à-l'Aigle, has a king bed, a walk-in closet and a private balcony; a second bedroom has a queen bed; the third, on the St-Fidèle side, has a queen bed and a single bed. On the garden level, a TV room with three bunk beds gives the children their own retreat, steps from the large living area.
The terrace and the stream
A true extension of the living spaces, the 900 sq ft terrace opens onto green grounds whose horizon meets the river. The murmur of the stream, only metres away, accompanies open-air meals and late evenings around the outdoor fireplace — which keeps the gatherings going even as the air cools.
The Hameau's amenities
Your stay includes access to the Hameau, a quiet shared space a few minutes' walk away. There you'll find a heated shared outdoor pool — open in summer only —, a tennis court, a basketball hoop, a billiard room and a lounge with fireplace, along with many places to relax. More than five kilometres of trails wind around the property, for walking and for taking in the view.
Kitchen, dining and laundry
The open kitchen is fully equipped — stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, gas barbecue and everything needed to entertain, down to the coffee corner (Breville espresso, Nespresso Vertuo and a drip coffee maker). It flows into the dining room and living room, one convivial space made for long shared tables. A laundry room with washer and dryer completes the garden level.
Charlevoix all around
Five minutes from La Malbaie and its shops, fifteen from Mont Grand-Fonds for skiing and hiking, Le Ruisseau opens onto the whole region: trails, kayaking, golf, cycling, fishing and beaches in summer; skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and skating in winter. Cap-à-l'Aigle, with its gardens and harbour, is yours to explore on foot.
