A thermal zone in the Scandinavian sense gathers in a single space several heat sources (dry sauna, wet hammam), cold (cascade, plunge, or simply snow) and rest (fireplace, lounge). It is the thermal cycle — heat, cold, rest, repeated — brought into a private chalet, with no booking elsewhere, no commute, no shared space with strangers.
The Les Thermes chalet is, to our knowledge, the only chalet in Cap-à-l'Aigle, La Malbaie, that offers a complete thermal zone under a single roof. The design physically separates the thermal area from the rest of the house, in an acoustically isolated space with its own full bathroom. Guests find there:
- Hammam (wet sauna) — 45 °C with 100 % humidity, professional steam generator
- Dry sauna — 80 °C heat, stone heater, solid wood benches
- Fireside rest area — for the recovery phase between heat sessions
- Outdoor spa — for cold/hot contrast with snow or river wind
The chalet also includes access to the Hameau next door, a private area gathering additional leisure equipment.
