Description
Villa "La Blanche" — its name evoking the region's vernacular houses — stands in Cap-à-l'Aigle, in La Malbaie. Its simple, refined architecture, by ACDF Architecture, blends gently and modernly into the Charlevoix landscape. The raw-concrete base of the lower level echoes the stone foundations of the area's old barns; above, two levels clad in white-stained wood recall the lime render of the region's ancestral homes. The four bedrooms occupy the central level, while the living spaces, perched on the top floor, enjoy abundant panoramic windows. The living room, set in a dizzying cantilever, captures Cap-à-l'Aigle's sunsets and the shimmering St. Lawrence estuary. La Blanche sleeps up to 14 (8 adults, 6 children) across 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Air-conditioned, it features an outdoor spa, a 120 V outdoor outlet and private parking.

Vernacular architecture reimagined
Designed by ACDF Architecture, La Blanche reinterprets the vernacular houses of Charlevoix. The raw-concrete base of the ground floor echoes the stone foundations of old barns and houses the entrance and utility rooms; above, two levels clad in white-stained wood recall the lime render of times past. Across the facades, the wood turns smooth, raw or perforated, bringing lightness and cheer to the whole.
Bedrooms and sleeping arrangements
The four bedrooms are grouped on the central level to preserve the panorama of the living spaces. The villa sleeps up to 14 — 8 adults and 6 children — with two king beds, two queen beds and three bunk beds. For bathrooms: four full bathrooms plus an additional powder room.
Panoramic living spaces
On the top floor, the kitchen and dining room enjoy panoramic windows, while the living room sits in a dizzying cantilever whose form evokes vernacular bridges. This perch offers Cap-à-l'Aigle's sunsets and the reflections of the St. Lawrence estuary, all from the comfort of the home.
Amenities
The villa is air-conditioned and features an outdoor spa for relaxation. The full kitchen includes a stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, gas barbecue, a drip coffee maker and a Keurig; a washer and dryer are also available. A 120 V outdoor outlet and private parking round out the home, along with high-speed Wi-Fi.
Cap-à-l'Aigle and Charlevoix
Cap-à-l'Aigle is minutes from La Malbaie and its shops. The region offers a wealth of year-round activities: hiking, kayaking, golf, cycling and beaches in summer; skiing at Mont Grand-Fonds, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and skating in winter.
