The Grands Prix du Design is the most prestigious design competition in Quebec and Canada. An independent jury of professionals — architects, designers, critics — assesses several hundred projects each year across dozens of categories.
Our Le Littoral chalet received two Platinum awards at the 14th edition (2021), in the *Residence / Cottage & Country House in Interior Design* and *Accommodation, Restaurant & Bar / Lodging, Cottage & Cabin for Rent* categories.
Jury comment:
> "Stunning! A formal originality beautifully integrated to its wonderful setting."
The project was designed by Architecture49, a leading Canadian architecture firm. L'Embâcle, by Bernard Serge Gagné at ABCP architecture, is a more conceptually narrative project — the architect describes it as "two heaped blocks of ice lying in the clearing." Both properties stand a few streets apart in Cap-à-l'Aigle, La Malbaie.
